20 volunteers tackle litter in Edmonton

Litter (before and after) alongside Salmon’s Brook, Edmonton. It looked like this area hadn’t been cleaned in years…

Around twenty Enfield Society volunteers turned up in the rain on Saturday 1st December to clean up the Montagu Road recreation ground and the footpath which runs beside Salmon’s Brook to Plevna Road.

A total of 80 bags were collected, with an estimated weight of 400kg.

Cllr Ergin Erbil tweeted (with pictures):-

“This morning we joined sixteen volunteers from The Enfield Society for a litter pick alongside Salmons Brook, Edmonton. Together we can achieve a cleaner Borough.”
