Local photographer Katrina Campbell is currently out taking pictures of people during the lock-down. Our President, Monica Smith, has been one of Katrina’s subjects. Now Katrina is looking for more people to take part.
Overwhelming I am struck by the empathy and gratitude people reveal, aware that others may be suffering more. There’s a brightness and positivity. Plenty report that they are getting the chance to rest and reflect even if it means financial hardship or emotional strain.
If you would like to see them or volunteer to get involved, I’m sharing them on Facebook and Instagram for the time being. I take these photos from a distance of course and interview people over text and WhatsApp. I plan to keep documenting people over the coming weeks, taking portraits of a diverse crowd in on my daily cycle ride in and around Winchmore Hill, Enfield, Southgate and Palmers Green.
