Enfield Town set for improvements

Remember “Let’s Talk Enfield Town”? Well it now looks like the proposed improvements to the Town centre are going to take place.

The project has the snappy name “Enfield Town Liveable Neighbourhoods” and a consultation for phase 1 is now running.

The consultation includes the following introduction:

The Enfield Town Liveable Neighbourhoods project proposes improved walking and cycling provisions as well as public transport passenger facilities to reduce car use and promote sustainable transport options. It also has a focus on improving public realm spaces that provide places to stop and rest and promote a bustling and vibrant town centre. This project is part-funded by Transport for London.

This is an ambitious plan for our Town Centre and the Council. The Council will look to deliver the project in phases as funding becomes available.

The Consultation ends on 3rd March. A webinar is being held on Tuesday 27th February at 6pm which must be joined using this Teams link: https://tinyurl.com/EnfieldTown2024
