Jubilee plaque for Gordon Hill station

Earlier this year the Friends of Gordon Hill received £10,000 heritage lottery funding to create a mosaic for the station to commemorate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.

Jubilee Mosaic at Gordon Hill station

The Friends of Gordon Hill Station have worked with mosaic artist Alex McHallam who has recently produced work for Enfield Grammar School and Palmers Green Station. Alex has worked with a small group of patients from Chase Farm Hospital to create and install a permanent mosaic celebrating the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee on the London bound platform at Gordon Hill Railway Station. The final design for the mosaic was approved by a small group of stakeholders including Govia Thameslink (Great Northern), The Enfield Society and Friends of Gordon Hill Station.

The plaque was finally ready and unveiled on Friday 22nd July.
