Enfield Town: Equality Impact Assessment released

We have received this update from the Chair of the Enfield Town Consultative Group (John Parrot):

Enfield Council are committed to a detailed Equality Impact Assessment (EQIA) approach for the Enfield Town project. This is an ongoing process throughout the life of the project and as well as internal consideration, the project team will call on external support where appropriate. To assist in this process, the Council engaged specialist consultants from Momentum Transport Consultancy to conduct an EQIA review of the Phase 1 community engagement, Let’s Talk Enfield Town.

The EQIA report has been added to the project web-site.

The evaluation occurred in March on a working copy prior to the Engagement Findings Report being finalised. Now that we have released the final version of the engagement report we can now also share this evaluation. The Council team will maintain the focus on EQIA throughout the project and will continue the process of requesting a variety of external reviews throughout the delivery stages. Please let us know if you have any questions or feedback.

You may have seen social distancing measures being installed in Enfield Town over the past week. We have been installing barriers to widen the footways to enable social distancing. If you have any feedback on these measures please see the COVID-19 Streetspace page. Works have now also recommenced on the Little Park Gardens project.
