London Open House, 6–17 September

After a shaky start, The London Borough of Enfield will have eight events in this year’s programme; 7 places to visit and one walk. At one point it looked like LBE wouldn’t have any entries due to a lack of funding, but at the last minute LBE found another source. The Enfield Society has contributed £2000 to this year’s entry.

The programme has now been published and be found on the Open House website.

The nine locations are:

  • All Saints Church, Edmonton
  • Christ Church, Southgate
  • St Mary Magdalene Church, Windmill Hill, Enfield
  • The Friends Meeting House, Winchmore Hill
  • BLOQs (community workshops), Tottenham
  • Royal Small Arms Factory, Enfield Island Village
  • King George V Pumping station, Enfield Lock
  • An awards ceremony at Angel Edmonton
  • A walk exploring Edmonton’s Edwardian suburb

St Andrew’s Church

In addition, St Andrew’s Church (Enfield Town) will be holding a Macmillan Fundraising Coffee Event on Saturday 16th September between 12noon and 4pm. You can visit the Bell Tower and there will be a ‘pop-up’ performance by the Rowantree Choir. Come along and support the charity and enjoy some coffee and cake.
