A new space—called Lavender Gardens—has been created at Gordon Hill just opposite the station. This work is part of creating a welcome to passengers alighting at the station and is integral to making Gordon Hill the gateway to Enfield Chase.

Thirteen year 2 children from St Michael’s CE Primary School and their two adults including Assistant Head Teacher were out today at digging and planting as part of an event organised by Friends of Gordon Hill Station. Plants were provided by Martin Jones from Enfield Council who joined in.

The morning also saw the new timber station planter funded by The Enfield Society and designed to promote sustainable travel options to the Enfield Chase renaturing project and the wider Green Belt.
