As part of the Unlocking Broomfield project, on 31st March Enfield Council and the Matchbox Collective, with the help of Friends of Broomfield Park and the Broomfield House Trust, began the process of making-good the hoardings around the old Broomfield House, in preparation for a new community mural celebrating the history of the Park and House.

This follows two workshops with the Art Students at Laurel Park School who helped to create elements in the design. Colin Younger (Broomfield Park Trust) and Victoria Black (Head Gardener) gave presentations to the aspiring artists. Painting will continue all week and there will be two further community workshops and a public “Paint Jam” on Saturday 12th April.

Five new information panel have now been installed on the hoardings.
