Jubilee Path set for clearing and renovation

The Enfield Society created the Jubilee Path in 1978 to celebrate the late Queen’s Silver Jubilee. Volunteers spent eighteen months and 2,600 hours building the path which runs from The Ridgeway near Holly Cottage down to the Salmon’s Brook valley, then westward towards Hadley Wood, before climbing up to Hadley Road. Much of the original path has now been made into a combined cycle and foot path, but the section from The Ridgeway down to Salmon’s Brook is now very overgrown and in need of clearing.

Overgrown: the Jubilee Path (northern section) in 2024

The Friends of Enfield Chase have arranged a ‘path renovation day’ on Saturday 21st September commencing at 10am. Details can be found in our calendar. You will need to register to attend and equipment will be provided.
