Untold Edmonton: Council announces five new events

The Council have added five more events to the Untold Edmonton project which seeks to shine a spotlight on the lives and stories of the peoples of Edmonton. All these events are free but some need to be booked. Find these in our calendar for the booking link, or goto enfield.gov.uk/services/property-and-economy/untold-edmonton#spring-events-programme

The new events are:

Untold Stories – Edmonton Premiere
Thursday 18 April – 6:30pm to 8:30pm
Join London Sinfonietta for the world premiere of a new piece of music and film by Ryan Morgan (composer), and Nigel Kellaway (filmmaker), inspired by stories of Edmonton gathered throughout workshops within Edmonton since November 2023.

YOUR object in the Museum of Enfield
Tuesday 30 April – 5pm to 8pm
The Museum of Enfield are looking to collect material from communities in Edmonton to make the museum’s collections more representative of the borough. These objects will feature in a new museum exhibition later in the year. If you have an object that you want displayed in the exhibition, bring it to Fore Street Library.

No booking required – this is a drop in event.

Edmonton Food Stories
Thursday 9 May – 6:30pm to 8:30pm
Join British food writer Jonathan Nunn and Journalist Tom Lamont as they discuss food and culture in Edmonton. The talk will be followed by a screening of a new documentary about Edmonton Green Shopping Centre created by Talkies Community Cinema and a Q&A with the Director.

Pymmes Park: The Lungs of Edmonton
Thursday 23 May – 7pm to 9pm and second screening on Friday 7 June – 7pm to 9pm.
