Places available for two Society heritage walks

The Enfield Society has organised two heritage walks in the Borough with local history speaker Joe Studman.

The first is on Sunday 6th August at 2pm and will look at Enfield Island Village, once home to the Royal Small Arms Factory and the Lee Enfield rifle. There is still some evidence of the activities once carried out here. On this walk you will discover the history of the site pre, during and post Ordnance.

The second walk takes place on Sunday 10th September at 2pm and looks at Palmers Green. Discover the history and development of the Lakes Estate, Broomfield House and Park, the Town Hall and library, Truro House and finish with the Suffragettes at the Triangle.

Free to members of The Society. Non members welcome for £10 each, which includes membership of The Society until January 2024.
