Edmonton heritage walk, Tue 8th August

As part of the Council’s National Lottery Heritage Project, Untold Edmonton a series of events are taking place in the area with a focus on the local community, it’s culture and history. As part of this project the Society is leading a Heritage Walk around historic Edmonton on Tuesday 8th August. The walk will be looking at three Conservation Areas and a surprising number of nationally and locally Listed Buildings. These include one of the oldest Churches in the Borough, an 18th century school for girls, fine Georgian houses and the home of a famous poet.

Your guides will tell you about the fascinating history of the area. The walk will take between one and half and two hours.

Meet at the Fore Street Living Room Library (Fore Street at the Angel shopping centre) at 2.00 p.m. No charge and no need to book.
