As part of a pilot study by Enfield Council and supported by Arts Council England, Enfield Society Trustee John Cole is working with two 17 year old local art students Shan and Aisha, and a local professional artist Mark Beattie to commission new public art for Enfield Town.
The young artists involved have designed a survey for local residents and visitors to complete. Its quick and will be a great help to develop their ideas before they commission another professional artist to develop some firm options with the public.
Other young artists are working on Southgate, Angel Edmonton, Edmonton Green and Palmers Green.
