Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations at Gordon Hill station

The Friends of Gordon Hill Station (FoGHS) presents Singing in the Rain (with full support) as the Station’s finale to their Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Celebrations

Following the Award by the Arts Council England to The Friends of Gordon Hill Station as part of it’s Lets Create Jubilee Fund there will be a FREE EVENT on Saturday 25th June at the Station, starting at 7.30 pm.

From 9.00 pm Stowe Films will present, in the Station Car Park on an outdoor screen, two films: Making Tracks (produced by FoGHS and Stowe Film in 2021 for the Enfield Winter Lights festival) and at 9:30 pm Singing in the Rain (1952). Dressing up and singing is optional but highly desired! There is no cover in the event of real rain. Please bring a chair.

Four Hills Brass Band London will also perform two short sets and Mary Duggan and Enfield Ports will perform several poems including one specially written for the Jubilee.

If you haven’t visited the Station recently; why not take the opportunity to see the Shaypress Mural, children’s art work from St. Michael’s CofE Primary School, the Waiting Room on Platform 1 (New exhibition and painted window) and the soon to be installed Jubilee Mosaic?
