Meet 10.25 at Bayford Station (10.12 train from Enfield Chase). Car drivers can meet the group in Bayford Village at 10.35, but please park considerately.

A morning only linear walk of about 4 miles through a varied mix of countryside on footpaths and tracks, ending in Hertford town centre where there are numerous lunch facilities. After lunch there would be the opportunity to then visit the castle gardens and Hertford’s award-winning museum.

For the morning’s outward journey, please ensure you purchase an off-peak day return to/from Hertford North. Apart from catching the train back, car drivers returning to Bayford could catch the 308 bus from the town’s bus station at 15.00. Leader: Mick Spinks.
