Slide is captioned "The Jute", but it is not clear what the picture shows. [i]History of Enfield[/i] vol 2, p.131-133 discusses the Jute Works, and says "Duck Lees Lane was often flooded in winter and the workers, including the children, had to wade through the water and work all day long in wet clothes."
