Silver Street looking towards London Road
|
The Nag's Head pub, with spire, is in the centre, Southbury Road leading off to the left before the pub. A two-wheeled horse-drawn carriage is at the corner. The signs above the windows of the shops on the left read "TOBACCO[nist]" "BARBER" "HAYDN HOUSE". The latter name presumably relates to the vertical sign above it, reading "ENFIELD MUSIC WAREHOUSE" "PIANOS TUNED ... 2/6 ..." "PIANOS ON HIRE ... 10/6 ..."
