This was our family home from about 1958 till 1964. My father Alfred Ashton rented it from the Rose and Crown pub and it ceased as a shop when we left. A Mrs Eaton rented the shop prior to us

Prior to that it was run by my friend Bill Jacques' aunt, whose sister's husband, Sonny Jacques, managed the pub.
