Railway level crossing, Duck Lees Lane, 1962
View looking east, early 1962. Of interest because the crossing gates were operated by a wheel in the crossing keeper's hut. The gates opened towards the road rather than across the railway, as is more usual. The crossing was closed in 1965 and there is now just a footbridge with long ramps at this location.
