When the white building / barn was being refurbished in the early 2000s (it’s now an annex to the new-build house in the yard behind), I remember talking to one of the builders who told me that the barn had previously been used as a carpenter / coffin-maker’s workshop – they’d found coffin components up in the loft space! Wonder if that’s true?
