Fire, Chase Side, 18th July 1911
The sign "Hovis" can just be distinguished on the building in the middle distance, right centre.

Comment by P Cracknell, 2014-04-01: The 'Hovis' sign is on 159 Chase Side (now Collins Funeral Parlour and previously Enfield Lawnmower Centre) opposite the footpath between 120 + 122 Chase side which runs to Holtwhite Avenue. The fire which destroyed the yard behind 122 Chase side also spread to neighbouring properties at 23 Holtwhite Avenue and 'Rosetta' 122 Chase Side which is the large house in the background.

Comment by Daren Gordelier, 2014-05-05: This was a fire on 18th July 1911, that started at 122, spreading into neighbouring properties and the store sheds at the rear from where this photo is taken.
