The house shown is not Windsmill, but a similar property called Ridgemount at 38 The Ridgeway and also designed by Hart. Both were demolished around the same time despite pleas to list them. The architect was Alfred Henry Hart who lived locally at 28 The Ridgeway and designed a number of houses thereabouts, most now demolished. Hart had a successful architectural practice in partnership with Percy Leslie Waterhouse around the turn of the century and designed predominately in the Arts and Crafts style then in vogue.
