The Enfield Society photograph collection

A. H. Clarke, family butcher. Meat and poultry display.
Location unknown. They had a shop at 109 Ordnance Road, Enfield and in 1939-1943 they traded at 145 High Street, Waltham Cross. This appears to be a special display, but the occasion is not known. A postcard copy of the image is postmarked 2nd May 1907, so it must date from earlier than that.

Though eight staff are in attendance, there is no counter visible at which meat could be prepared or sold. Can anyone identify the location from the architecture behind the display?

Labels on the meat read "Prime Scotch beef", "Choice Southdown mutton", "Fed by ... Earl of Rosebery ..."
