Adjacent to and north of the Jolly Butchers public house,  Hayward House is a 6-bedroom detached Georgian, Grade II listed, private house. The small building on the left was occupied at the time of this picture by Cross, chemists, which later became Cross and Herbert; in 2013 sale particulars it was shown as a "breakfast area" forming part of Hayward House.

The shop on the left was 'Cross' the chemists, what was the name of the big house?

Any other pre-2000 photos? I'd like to see the top windows in detail for restoration.
