Talk by Mike Brown. The British Home Front is often portrayed as a common shared-experience, yet in reality it was very different depending on where you lived, especially town or country, and what period of the war. In this talk Mike Brown looks at life in the suburbs during WWII, and the changes which took place over the six years of the war, using artefacts and anecdotes collected in researching his books.
