Talk by Dave Cockle. In 1910 the GNR extended the railway from Enfield. The ‘Hertford Loop’ line is heavily engineered with deep cuttings, embankments, tunnels and viaducts necessary to take the railway through to Hertford and on to Stevenage. This illustrated talk will show the many changes and the social impact the coming of the railway had on the communities it served.
