Depart 11.10 from Tate Britain Gallery’s Manton entrance in Atterbury Street (not from the main entrance fronting Millbank and The Thames). About 10 mins signed walk from Pimlico Station (Victoria Line). Note: the Gallery opens from 10.00, has free admission, and within the Manton entrance are toilets and a café.
About 2½ hour linear walk via Battersea Park, Chelsea and Chelsea Harbour with an attractive mix of gardens, historic and modern buildings and The Thames. Lunch stop at a large supermarket café with option to end at nearby Imperial Wharf Station (London Overground). For those bringing own lunch there are nearby gardens but without any shelter.

4 mile linear walk, initially via one of London’s least known but perhaps prettiest garden squares. With a coffee stop, then a riverside walk with interesting architecture from the last two centuries, ending at Fulham Palace (free admission).
