The Enfield Local Plan: final consultation now open. Find out how you can object

Local Plan approved at Council

At Council on Tuesday 19th March councillors approved the Local Plan by 33 votes to 22. Regulation 19 will now commence on Thursday 28th March and run until Monday 20th May. Full details of what the Plan could mean for our Borough can be found here.

We have a series of walks which explore Enfield Chase, some covering the
area now proposed for housing.

The Enfield Society promotes the conservation and enhancement of the civic and natural environments of the London Borough of Enfield and its immediate surrounding area, for the public benefit.  We were established in 1936.

Our regular litter picking group collected 57 bags of rubbish from Bramley Road and Enfield Road, Oakwood on the 23rd March. If you want to take part in future litter picks, contact us.

Joining the Society costs as little as £5 per person per year and by joining the Society you will help support our valuable work within the Borough. Members receive four colour newsletters per year and you can keep in-touch with our work through our monthly news e-mails.  Our evening talks programme take place at Jubilee Hall once a month and our guided walks are usually accessible using public transport. These are free to members, but we welcome non-members who wish to come and try before deciding to join. We have an extensive range of publications for sale which can be ordered through our online store.
