The girls' secondary school and technical institute opened in December 1909. Fees per term in 910 were £2 2s. 6d., which covered the use of books and stationery and equipment for hockey and tennis. The school could accommodate 220 pupils; it had eight classrooms, a cookery room and two laboratories which were made available to boys from the Grammar School. - History of Enfield vol.2, p.253-254.
