Gordon Hill centenary train naming event
To mark the 100th anniversary of the extension of the GN route from Enfield Chase to Cuffley, First Capital Connect named a Class 313 train in honour of Captain William Leefe Robinson in recognition of his part of the area’s history, when he shot down a German airship over Cuffley during the First World War in 1916.
 
     Standing to the left of the train name (left to right) - Mr Jordan & Mrs Elizabeth Robinson Scott Jordan. Mrs Jordan is a descendant of Leefe Robinson.
 
     Standing to the right of the train name (left to right) - Neal Lawson - Managing Director First Capital Connect and Rufus Barnes, former Chief Executive of London Travel Watch and a Gordon Hill commuter.
